CartGenie v5.1+: How do I integrate E-News (i.e. newsletter) sign-up with...

We've partnered with iContact, a leading provider of email marketing software and services, to enable our merchants to harness the power of email marketing in order to generate more business. As a result, merchants can configure their CartGenie storefront to integrate seamlessly with iContact. With this integration, online shoppers who use the E-News sign-up box, located in the bottom left of the storefront side navigation bar, are immediately added to the iContact system without ever leaving the storefront. CartGenie business owner can then utilize iContact to manage their email marketing campaigns and get better marketing results. In order to integrate with iContact, please follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your iContact account. If you don't have an account, click on the following link https://www.jstreettech.com/pg_iContact-SignUp.aspx to sign up for a 15 Day Free Trial.

2. Once your iContact account has been created, download the iContactConfig.aspx file from your Web site and open it in Notepad or your Web authoring tool.

3. Instructions for completing the integration are listed in the iContactConfig.aspx file. The basic steps involve logging into your iContact account and copying some credentials into the iContactConfig.aspx file. The process takes about 5-10 minutes.

4. Once you have completed the steps upload the iContactConfig.aspx file back to your Web site.

You will now see the E-News sign-up box in the bottom left but this sign-up will add the addresses to iContact. * NOTE - Email addresses will not be stored in the CartGenie database.
